Black Snail Patterns is a small bussines in Germany specialised in historically accurate patterns. The patterns come with detailed instructions and if you still have some questions or comments, you can ask them in a Facebook group made by the lady behind Black Snail Patterns!Simple blouse worn about This sewing pattern shows a blouse or bodice, modeled after extant examples and fashion plates from around 1890 with large puff sleeves.
The blouse is mounted on a firm and tight fitting lining with boned seams as usual at that time. The lining is cut curved at the center front to get some extra width at the bust level and is closed edge to edge with hooks and eyes, covered by a plastron. The plastron is sewn on at the right side, with the edge covered by the fashion fabric of the front. The other side is closed layered underneath the fashion fabric with hooks or snap fasteners (invented around 1885).
A waistband at the inside prevents the blouse from sliding up. The blouse has a little peplum at the back and is intended to be worn in the skirt, actually with a matching belt - included in the pattern.

Fits perfectly with pattern #0414
A seam allowance of 5/8" (1,5cm) is included in my sewing patterns.
Fitted to be worn with or without a corset underneath.

Also suitable for cosplay or steampunk costumes.

The pattern comes with detailed and illustrated sewing instructions in English and German.
It is a multi size pattern, you can choose between US 8-18 (EU 34-44) and US 20-30 (EU 46-56).
