From 1890 trousers like this model were worn especially for cycling. It has a front and back pleat for additional mobility and pockets at the side seams.
For protection against cold and rainy weather gaiters were worn. The gaiters can be made from leather, faux leather, felted wool fabrics or waxed cotton (line softer fabrics for more stability). The gaiters are closed with buttons at the outside, underneath the shoe a band secures it from slipping.
Also suitable for steampunk costumes.
The pattern comes with detailed and illustrated sewing instructions in English and German.
It is a multi-size pattern, you can choose between US 8-18 (EU 34-44) and US 20-30 (EU 46-56).
